Accounting Specialist (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable)

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team in California. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. The Accounting Clerk will support the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting functions.

Responsibilities

  • Handling Accounts Payable, ensuring all invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
  • Managing Accounts Receivable, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding invoices.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and summaries as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system.
  • Supporting the finance team with additional tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required Work Hours

The Accounting Clerk will work Monday through Friday, during regular business hours.
